Oorah Nachas Files- Warmed Amidst The Snow

Outside, there was more snow than Yerushalayim had seen in years, but inside the shul, the fire of Torah warmed the forty-five or so young men learning there. Learn n' ChillZone could adapt a motto from the postal service: “Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these dedicated young men from the fervent completion of their appointed chavrusahshafts.”

Even the pizza made it safely (if a bit delayed!), though it had to be delivered by hand through the snow and ice by a volunteer who understood the power that hot food has for a teenager still growing in his Yiddishkeit.

The learning continued until late in the night, as Oorah students and volunteers alike bonded over a Gemara, a slice of pizza and the shared experience of weathering a rare Yerushalayim snowstorm.
