Masterminds of Russia Hoax Scramble for Legal Cover

Plot To Dupe Congress Paved Way for Power Grab Under Biden Administration

The media’s stubborn silence about the true “Russia-gate” conspiracy is finally beginning to splinter, buckling under the weight of once top-secret documents that have been released in several “dumps” by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard and CIA director John Ratcliffe.

The declassified material is exposing one of the most calculated and effective political hit jobs in U.S. history, one that remains deeply relevant today.

Russia-gate, the Obama-era conspiracy to frame Donald Trump as a Russian asset, exposed how powerful institutions can be weaponized to manipulate public opinion and target political opponents under the guise of national security.

Only now, nine years after it was first put into play, is the Russia collusion hoax finally being unraveled.

“We know what happened,” Ratcliffe, who opened criminal investigations this week into some of the conspiracy’s key players, told Fox News. “We want to understand how it happened, how it was allowed to happen. So that something like this never happens again.”

According to Gabbard and Ratcliffe, the conspiracy was engineered through collusion between senior intelligence chiefs, Hilary Clinton and the Obama administration.

It was executed at Barack Obama’s own direction, Gabbard alleges.

“New evidence uncovers Obama-directed creation of false intelligence report used to launch years-long coup to undermine President Trump,” the Office of the National Director of Intelligence declared on its website.

The ultimate goal was to criminalize and potentially imprison President Trump on fabricated election-rigging charges following his 2016 victory. As many will recall, the plot almost succeeded.

The conspirators did succeed in one key objective; through impeachments and relentless investigations, they crippled Donald Trump’s first presidential term. But now, some of the most notorious lies that became lynchpins of the hoax are resurfacing, this time to bite their creators.

Hilary Clinton Laid the Groundwork, FBI Took It to Next Level

“What hasn’t come out yet, and what’s going to come out, is information that shows the Russia collusion hoax was a Hillary Clinton plan, but a separate part of it was an FBI plan,” CIA director John Ratcliffe told Fox News.

“The FBI plan,” said Ratcliffe, “was to build an entire case on the fake Steele dossier, which the Clinton campaign paid for, with its wild, unfounded claims, using it to pour oil on the fire of the fake Russia collusion story. They amplified these lies, and in doing so, buried the truth of what Hillary Clinton was up to.”

The newly declassified materials showed President Obama ordering the CIA to revise their post-election assessment that had reached the conclusion that Russia had not substantially interfered in the 2016 presidential contest, the Washington Times reported.

That report had to be changed to lay the foundation for Clinton’s scheme; framing Donald Trump for colluding with the Russians to rig the election. To make that narrative plausible, intelligence had to be fabricated to suggest the Kremlin was actively working to tip the election in Trump’s favor.

According to Ratcliffe, former CIA director John Brennan, former FBI director James Comey and former DNI James Clapper complied with Obama’s directive, and knowingly used fake intelligence to accuse Russia of massive election interference.

Armed with the new incriminating document, the agency chiefs then pushed the Russia hoax with its lurid Steel dossier before Congress, with full awareness that the intelligence was bogus.

By the time Clapper, Comey and Brennan testified before Congress about the Russia collusion, the Steele dossier had been exposed as fraudulent. The men thus denied having used it in their intelligence assessment that framed Donald Trump as a Russian asset.

But the intelligence assessment, once filed under lock and key as top secret, has now been declassified. And the infamous dossier, which was attached to that assessment as an “exhibit” as part of an FBI probe into the Russia hoax, is among the documents about to be released.

CIA Director: Indictments are Coming

In his appearance on Fox News, Ratcliffe announced the coming release of declassified documents that would prove that Brennan, Comey, Clapper and Clinton had lied to Congress about their part in pushing the dossier. They would likely be facing indictment, he said.

“Mr. Comey’s congressional testimony about the matter, which took place in September 2020, “is completely inconsistent with what our underlying intelligence, that is about to be declassified, reflects,” Ratcliffe said.

The CIA director said that the facts “will showcase intent” on the part of the Russia hoax masterminds to “incorporate the Steele dossier as the basis for Crossfire Hurricane”, the code name given to the Russia-Trump collusion investigation.

“As we know, [Attorney General] Pam Bondi does have a strike force,” Ratcliffe noted. “It is a different Department of Justice today, a different FBI… It’s an opportunity to look at how these people really did conspire to run a hoax, a fraud on the American people, and against Donald Trump’s presidency.”

The same media outlets that eagerly promoted the false Russia collusion narrative are now working to bury this explosive backstory. But the allegation that a conspiracy within Obama’s inner circle sought to delegitimize Trump’s election has become impossible to dismiss—even for the staunchest Trump critics.

Even The New York Times, which initially dismissed the allegations as baseless and “overblown,” has since admitted the situation appears “messy” and “complicated”—media code for: it looks bad for the ringleaders.

As a NY Post op-ed noted, “the truth, like water, tends to find a way out.” The public today is watching the truth of that epigram unfold as “a small trickle turns into a flood for the architects of the Russian collusion hoax.”

With damning evidence mounting, Brennan, Comey, Clapper and their allies are scrambling for legal cover—bracing for subpoenas and criminal investigations, the NY Post reported.

Russia Hoax Set the Stage for Abuse of Power Under Biden

Regardless of the ultimate outcome of the investigations, the acts of deception, lying before Congress and political sabotage allegedly greenlit by Obama and carried out with impunity, did not end with his administration.

The sweeping unscrupulousness and lack of accountability in the Russia-gate conspiracy set the stage for an even more brazen abuse of power under Biden, one that played out under FBI director Christopher Wray and AG Merrick Garland, critics say.

Under the Biden administration, these men controlled two of the most powerful institutions in America, and left a deeply tainted legacy behind them when they stepped down.

Wray left office in Dec. 2024 as the Biden administration came to an end.  Sen. Josh Hawley, R.-Montana, was asked for his thoughts about the FBI director’s leadership. What he said opened a disturbing window into how a once-honorable institution has become warped by politics and corrupted from within.

“Wray’s tenure at the FBI has been one of the darkest chapters in the bureau’s history,” Hawley commented in the interview. “What happened under his tenure? For one thing, the FBI lied regularly to FISA courts, the secret courts to get wiretaps on political opponents.”

“Wray was fiddling while the FBI has burned,” Hawley reflected. “While that institution, once the greatest law enforcement institution in the world, has become a plaything for the Biden White House and the Democrat Party, Chris Wray has stood by and watched it happen, and in some cases actively helped it along.”

“He sent the FBI to knock on the doors and harass parents who went to school board meetings and asked about Covid masking policies,” Hawley continued. “He monitored them with ‘snitch lines.’ He sent SWAT teams to the homes of pro-life demonstrators.”

Wray worked with the biggest tech companies in the world to censor American speech on Covid, and on DEI in their children’s schools, any type of dissent,” Hawley recounted. “What he was doing was really dangerous, on top of the other abuses perpetrated under the Biden administration.”

“It’s a good thing Wray is gone. He should have been gone years ago,” Hawley concluded. “And now we have a reformer at the FBI—Kash Patel, who’s going to restore the rule of law at that institution.”

Parents Branded ‘Domestic Terrorists’

Merrick Garland, Biden’s attorney general, left the DOJ so weaponized, it went after school parents whose sole offenses were questioning Covid mandates, and protesting the woke indoctrination of their children. Garland claimed they were a national security threat.

In 2021, then AG Garland was questioned in Congress about whether he had tagged as “domestic threats” law-abiding mothers and fathers who spoke against masking mandates and the teaching of CRT—critical race theory and morally degenerate lifestyles in their children’s schools. He denied it.

The truth is quite different.

On September 29, 2021, the National School Board Association (NSBA) had sent a letter to President Biden accusing parents expressing frustration with Covid policies and with radical subject matter in the school curriculum of “domestic terrorism,” and asking for assistance in dealing with these outspoken parents.

In response, on October 4, 2021, AG Garland issued a memo directing the FBI and U.S. Attorneys across the country to create a “threat tag” to apply to parents who reportedly had “threatened” or “harassed” school officials, the NY Times wrote.

“Such tags are used by the bureau to track trends and share information across offices, and are commonly used for crimes like drug offenses and human trafficking,” the article said.

Parents who had spoken out at local school boards soon discovered that they were being tracked and monitored; the FBI had opened federal investigations into them. A fierce backlash ensued.

Members of the U.S Commission on Civil Rights criticized the Biden DOJ for issuing the memo, saying there was no justification for such drastic steps. Critics noted the disorder at these meetings mostly involved people shouting and talking out of turn, perhaps an occasional scuffle, nothing local law enforcement could not handle.

Pushback came from some federal prosecutors as well. Attorney General Eric Schmitt of Missouri blasted the DOJ directive as “outrageous” and “unconstitutional” in a letter to Garland.

“Joe Biden is weaponizing his DOJ and using the FBI to pursue parents advocating for their kids at school board meetings,” Schmitt told The Heartlander, a Missouri paper. “It’s meant to quell dissent and intimidate. It’s dangerous and they have no jurisdiction. Not in Missouri. Not in any state.”

Schmitt pointed out that the federal government does not have jurisdiction over local school issues and noted the potentially dangerous precedent this could set in regards to restricting citizens’ freedom of speech.

Brazen Denials

In a congressional hearing in 2022, Garland assured lawmakers under oath that the DOJ and the FBI were not using counterterror tools to target parents, as the NSBA had requested in a letter crafted with the White House. Garland insisted that his memorandum was not aimed at curtailing parent’s right to object at school board meetings.

“I can’t imagine any circumstance in which the Patriot Act would be used in the circumstances of parents complaining about matters affecting their children, nor can I imagine a circumstance where they would be labeled as domestic terrorism,” said Garland.

Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., punctured this apparent deception by pointing to a separate memo issued by the U.S. Attorney for the District of Montana, following Garland’s creation of a task force to monitor dissenting parents.

The memo, a section of which Hawley read aloud in the Senate chamber, listed numerous “federal crimes” that parents could be prosecuted for, and encouraged prosecutors to involve the FBI.

The “criminal” conduct outlined in the memo included sending too many angry mails or making too many irate phone calls to school board officials.

“You’ve testified today you’re focused only on violence. That’s not what your U.S. attorneys like the US Attorney for Montana are saying,” Hawley challenged the attorney general.

Garland insisted he hadn’t seen the memo in question prior to the Senate hearing.

“You haven’t seen this memo because it’s not a high enough priority, or what?” Hawley asked.

“It’s not a question of priority,” Garland said, adding that he hadn’t seen the memo because no one had sent it to him.

“What do you mean no one has sent you the memo,” Hawley pressed. “You run the United States Department of Justice, do you not?”

“I’ll leave it at this, General Garland,” Hawley said. “You have weaponized the FBI and the Department of Justice. Your attorneys are now cataloguing all the ways they might prosecute parents because they want to be involved in their children’s education. It is wrong. It is unprecedented to my knowledge of the history of this country.”

Hawley called for Garland’s resignation, singling out his abuse of his position for political ends.

“Merrick Garland mobilized the FBI to intimidate parents without legal basis,” Hawley posted online. “It was a dangerous abuse of authority that has badly compromised the Justice Department’s integrity and that of Garland himself.”

‘Heads Need to Roll’

When “the Attorney General of the Department of Justice stands exposed as a liar or a fool,” it is a sad day for Americans, declared a scathing NY Post op-ed in Nov. 2021.

Headlined, “Proof that AG Garland Misled Congress About Silencing Parents who Dissent,” the article blasted Garland for “testifying that he didn’t order the targeting of parents who criticize schools policies, let alone treat them as domestic terrorists, when an internal Justice Department memo shows he did just that.”

“Garland needs to explain his apparent perjury, pronto. And withdraw that memo,” the op-ed said. (He never did. AG Pam Bondi canceled it in March.)

“Let’s be blunt: The feds have no business whatsoever targeting, tracking or investigating parents for opposing school policies: Even violence in such disputes is a matter for local law enforcement,” the author wrote.

“Parents have every right to object to practices they think are bad for their kids. And a White House-led conspiracy to use anti-terror laws to scare them into shutting up is outrageous and un-American.

“Garland knows this: That’s precisely why he told Congress it wasn’t happening.

“But it is. And so, heads need to roll — at Justice and the White House.”

As CIA director John Ratcliffe noted last week in a news interview: “It is a different Department of Justice today, a different FBI. It is an opportunity for housecleaning and renewal, a chance to restore the rule of law and uphold justice.”

Biden’s DOJ Sought to Criminalize Parental Dissent

America First Legal, a conservative legal group, has just revealed a trove of correspondence from the Biden administration’s DOJ, obtained through a FOIA lawsuit.

The documents shed new light on the White House involvement in Merrick Garland’s directive to treat parents as “domestic terrorists” for protesting public school woke indoctrination of their children.

They include a shocking email from a deputy attorney general aide that said the DOJ was searching, at the Biden Administration’s request, for a “federal hook” to get involved in a local school matter normally off limits to federal jurisdiction.

“The challenge here is finding a federal hook. But WH [Biden Administration] has been in touch about whether we can assist in some form or fashion,” deputy attorney general aide Kevin Chambers wrote to a DOJ colleague on Oct. 1, 2021.

Their efforts to find a “federal hook” included brainstorming ways within a legal framework to prosecute parents who had voiced opposition to mask mandates, teaching critical race theory and morally degenerate lifestyles in K-12 classrooms.

The emails show that after coordinating with the National School Boards Association (NSBA) on a letter likening concerned parents to “domestic terrorists,” Biden DOJ officials rushed to draft Garland’s memo mobilizing federal authorities in response.

Looking back, it’s impossible to ignore the creeping authoritarianism, erosion of civil liberties, and the toxic spread of radical ideology that was tightening its grip on the nation under the Biden administration.

Americans tend to forget how controlling and tyrannical government institutions had become, how oppressive it was to live under the slow demoralization of society.

The Trump administration to its credit has been engaged in reversing these dangerous trends, rooting out woke ideology and government sponsorship of moral depravity, and reining in government overreach—particularly the censorship of speech that runs counter to the establishment, and the weaponization of federal agencies against political dissent.
